Communication: To stay informed residents should:

1.Consult http://mckinleymill.org/. The website contains helpful links as to contacts addresses, community events and issues, forms and other information helpful to residents in understanding community procedures and governance.

2. View signs at the entrances which will act as reminders of community meetings and events.

3. Mailings and Flyers: Posted at pool [when open], left at residences, or mailed when appropriate.

Community Questions and Concerns:

a.Committee Volunteering: The home owners’ association has several volunteer opportunities. Residents may choose to: serve on the board by running for election in October at the annual meeting; volunteer to serve on the architectural committee when there are openings by responding to announcements at meetings, on the website or in the newsletter; offer to help with social events (we no longer have a social committee due to a lack of participation) hosted by the HOA; or serve on other temporary committees.

b.Property Appearance Issues: Decisions governing the appearance of property, including but not limited to lawn maintenance, parking, and structural additions, are governed by the C, C & R’s [available on the property management website and provided by law with all closing documents.] It is EVERY resident’s responsibility to report violations or suspected violations to the property management company. Without community cooperation problems can go unnoticed and cannot be remedied. If you have a complaint or question you may telephone, e-mail or write to the property management company. Be prepared to provide the specific address and or vehicle license plate when you call. Letters from the property management company will invite the violators to correct the problems as is required, but your complaint IS the first step to remedying problems.
